PEOPLE FLOCK TO THE VENUE FROM 3 AM

-

LUCKNOW: All city roads led to the Ramabai Ambedkar ground as early as 3am on Wednesday. Over 51,000 people from all walks of life took a deep breath, stretched and twisted their bodies along with the PM and other VVIPs to celebrate International Yoga Day. Even, heavy rain early failed to deter the spirits of thousands of enthusiasts.

LUCKNOW : Other than Ramabai Amedkar Ground, a poor turnout was witnesses at the other 11 parks where yoga programmes were scheduled on the day. The organisers blamed the poor weather for this. The 11 parks included Arvindo Park in Indiranagar; Zonal Park in Ashiyana, Jaijagat Park of City Montessori Degree College on Kanpur road, NBRI Park in Sikarndarbagh, Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, Lohia Park in Gomti Nagar, Mini Stadium in Rajajipuram, Joggers Park in Dubagga, Arjun Park in Jankipuram, Janeshwar Mishra Park and others.
