ALLAHABAD: The surge in mobile applications on yoga is making it easier for the people to stay fit and reap the benefits of this ancient art even when not able to join a class under the guidance of an expert.

There are many apps to help people stream their own class, building their own routine or improving on technique. One may choose from a wide range of applications, both paid and free, that are up for grabs on websites and app stores.

Yogita Mishra, a post-graduate student at Allahabad University said, “It appealed to me but I could not find a teacher in Allahabad and opted for a mobile app available on Google store.” Yoga teacher Komal Mehrotra, who trains a number of youngsters in the city at Dharbhanga colony, testifies the ever-growing popularity of yoga apps among people.
