Sensors to protect antiques at Allahabad Museum
ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad Museum, one of the four national museums in the country, has decided to use sensor chips to protect antique items on display. These chips will help the authorities to know about visitors in the gallery and will also send an alarm to the control room if someone touches any object. These chips are being installed at a cost of Rs 15 lakh and the union ministry of culture has sanctioned the first instalment Rs 5 lakh. “The work of installing sensor chips will begin after an inspection by a team of experts from the ministry next week,” said director, Allahabad Museum, Rajesh Purohit.
