2 women Maoists killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh
RAIPUR: Two women Maoists were gunned down in a fierce encounter with police in a forest in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, an official said. The encounter took place on Wednesday morning in the forest near Hasnar village when a joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Group (DRG) was out on an anti-Maoist operation, Narayanpur superintendent of police Santosh Singh said. Police also recovered two .315 bore guns, some explosives, Maoist uniforms, literature and other items.
