Pronunciation can make a big difference so far as success of an individual is concerned, according to experts.

Expressing their views at a talk show on Urdu pronunciation organised by Akashvani, Lucknow, experts said many youths did not get jobs because of their poor pronunciation.

They said Urdu could be helpful in improving ‘talaffuz’ (pronunciation).

The show will be broadcasted on June 29.

Noted scholar and Urdu teacher at State Urdu Akademi Mohammed Qamar Khan, retired information officer Nihal Ahmed Usmani and assistant professor in department of business administration, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu Arabi Farsi University Doa Naqvi discussed the importance of pronunciation.

Mohammed Qamar Khan said people could take the help of softwares and tutorials which are available online.

“Common grammatical mistakes can be removed with a bit of guidance,” Doa Naqvi said.

“By learning Urdu, one learns culture (saleeka). One who learns Urdu cannot be arrogant,” said Naqvi.
