Tathagat gets second rank in ISC exam
LUCKNOW: Following the re-evaluation of his Class 12 answer copy, Tathagat Bhatia of Seth MR Jaipuria School, Lucknow, has secured national second rank in the ISC examination.
He has obtained 99.25% marks in the ISC 2017 examination with 100 marks each in Maths, Political Science and History. Together with his English marks and scores of his best three subjects, he is now the second rank holder in ISC exams.
He shares the honour with Lucknow’s Ayushi Srivastava of CMS and three others in the country. “It was his school teacher who insisted Tathagat to go for re-evaluation and it eventually worked. The council has sent a letter confirming his All India second rank. He is a bright boy and will do wonders in future,” said Promini Chopra, principal, Seth MR Jaipuria School. She added, “We always knew he would be among top rank holders. We just could not believe ourselves when his name was not there in the list. It was then the school teacher insisted to apply for re-evaluation.”
Two years back in ICSE examinations, Tathagat had scored 495 out of 500, missed the top spot by just one mark. Tathagat had then scored 98 in English and History, Civics, Geography, 99 in Science, and 100 in Maths and Computer. Not only he is good in academics, Tathagat is a gifted quizzer, and is passionate about table tennis.
