In a unique and noble way to connect with masses, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has asked its cadre to donate blood for the needy people.

“The act will help you develop blood relation with people and would ensure their support to the party in the next general election in 2019,” party’s state general secretary Sunil Bansal is learnt to have told the party workers.

Addressing a series of meetings in Kanpur-Bundelkhand region, Bansal have exhorted workers to do anything and everything that would connect people with the party.

Underlining the importance of blood donation camps for the party, he advised that such camps should be organised on August 14, a day before the Independence Day.

“Camps should be held statewide and at least 100 party workers should enlist themselves as donors in each district,” he said.

“The donated blood will save the life of several patients and this noble gesture will bring the patients and their family members close to the party,” he said at the meeting.

The workers have also been asked to begin their registration so that the pre-donation blood tests could be carried out to determine the eligibility of donors.

This process has to complete by August 8, so that only approved donors could be allowed to participate in blood donation camps. The party is also planning to organise general knowledge based competition in over 200 schools in each district for a better connect with youths and their parents.
