Five people including a pregnant woman sustained minor injuries while trying to meet chief minister Yogi Adityanath at the Janta Darbar organised at Gorakhnath temple on Sunday.

The incident occurred early morning when barricades put up for crowd management were removed suddenly and people jostled with each other to reach the CM first to hand over their complaint letter. According to sources, the CM had instructed district officials to ensure people coming to meet him did not face any hassles and hence the barricades were removed.

Later, the barricades were put up again to control the crowd. The temple administration took the complaint letters from the injured people and assured them of delivering to the CM.

He also instructed them to identify those villages, which witness maximum cases of JE/ AEs and appoint a child specialist at every health centre in such villages.

Later, Yogi inaugurated a skill development centre at Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Fertilizer ground.
