Chief minister Yogi favours healthy debate on issues
Vidhan Sabha will not meet on July 17 because of presidential elections
LUCKNOW: The all-party meeting on the eve of Budget session of the state legislature began late because of delay in return of chief minister Yogi Adityanath from Una (Himachal Pradesh).
In the meeting, UP Assembly speaker Hriday Narain Dixit applealed to representatives of all the parties to cooperate in the smooth running of the session.
Yogi Adityanath said all issues and problems could be sorted out through healthy discussions and debates. “Dialogue is a better option to find solutions and such an approach sends a good message across,” he said.
He asked the opposition leaders to put their questions and issues across well.
The leader of opposition and Samajwadi Party legislators group leader Ram Govind Chaudhary was not present.
The business advisory committee meeting decided that the budget will be presented at 12.20 pm on Tuesday. It will be discussed for three days beginning July 13.
The business adivsory committee also decided not to hold the session on July 17 because of the presidential polls.
The decision was taken in the meeting headed by speaker Dixit.
