YOGI SEEKS REPORT ON LOSS OF LIVES
LUCKNOW: CM Yogi Adityanath on Sunday sought a detailed report on the loss of lives of patients due to shifting or shock during the fire incident at KGMU’s Trauma Centre on Saturday evening. The CM announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the family of those who lost their lives in the fire. Yogi reached the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) at 10.50 am and went straight to the store on the second floor of trauma centre from where fire had started. CM asked the officials about the cause of fire.
LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday sought a detailed report on the loss of lives of patients due to shifting or shock during the fire incident at KGMU’s trauma centre on Saturday evening.
The CM announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the family of those who lost their lives in the fire.
Yogi reached the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) at 10.50 am and went straight to the store on the second floor of the trauma centre from where the fire had started.
The CM asked the officials about the stock, the store in-charge and cause of the fire.
The officials explained to the CM the system of keeping items in the store and replied to his queries on the fire incident.
The CM lauded the doctors and KGMU staff for taking swift action to prevent loss of lives and said the government would felicitate them.
Dr Ved Prakash, Prof MLB Bhatt and Dr Avinash Agrawal accompanied the CM to the third floor where ICU and trauma ventilator units are located.

Yogi also went to the fourth floor where he met the parents of children admitted to the intensive care units (ICUs) of paediatric and neonatal sections which are the most sensitive.
He also visited the ICUs of medicine and respiratory wards on the fifth floor where patients from the trauma ventilator unit had been shifted. He met the attendants and patients and inquired about the facilities being provided to them.
The CM also visited radiotherapy department’s ward at Centenary Hospital where 69 patients were shifted from trauma centre.
Yogi also visited mayor Suresh Awasthy who is admitted at Lari Cardiology.
He directed the authorities to take care of patients and assured them that the state government would extend all support to the KGMU.
