Three policemen deployed on a police response vehicle (PRV) of Dial 100 were suspended ,allegedly for misbehaving with BJP leader and MLA from Kheragarh Mahesh Goyal.

The cops allegedly had an argument with the legislator on the issue of vehicle parking. However, during medical examination, none of the police men was found drunk.

Reports said Goyal had gone to the house of a party worker on Sunday night pm to attend a birthday party.

While his driver was parking the car, the police response vehicle (PRV) reached the spot and there was an argument over parking. According to the MLA’s supporters, the policemen misbehaved with the legislator, who spoke to station officer of Kheragarh police station.

He also informed SSP Agra Dinesh Chandra Dubey who suspended the three policemen Ram Gopal, Pawan Kumar and Aniruddh Singh. The BJP men had complained that the policemen were drunk.

“The suspended cops underwent medical examination and none of them was found to be drunk,” Narendra Singh Rana, circle officer, Kheragarh, told HT on Monday.

Rana denied he had been ordered to probe the incident.

COP SUSPENDED FOR ABUSING OFFICIALS

ALIGARH: A constable, who abused deputy inspector general RPS Yadav and senior superintendent of police Rajesh Pandey in a conversation with a youth on mobile, was suspended here on Sunday as the youth recorded the talk and posted the audio on social sites.

SP (Rural Areas) is probing the matter. The constable is said to be relative of a ruling party MLA. Reports said constable Ravi Som of Panehti police post called a shopkeeper Love Kumar who was going home after closing his shop in Panehti. As the youth paid no heed, Ravi Som called him on his mobile and started abusing him.

The youth told him that he was recording the conversation and would lodge a complaint in the matter.

An irritated Ravi Som then started abusing the DIG and SSP, telling the youth that no one could harm him and where would he go to lodge a complaint.

Afterwards Love posted the audio on social sites and it soon became viral .

On Sunday morning, constable Ravi again called Love and asked him,” Have you made the audio viral ? Where are you? I am coming to teach you a lesson.”

Love became terrified and reached the SSP office with his mother.
