Non- performers on LDA V-C’s radar
LUCKNOW All employees of the Lucknow Development Authority who are 50 years of age or above will now be appraised by a screening committee to assess their efficiency.
LDA vice chairman Prabhu Narain Singh has formed the committee to monitor the efficiency of the staff. LDA secretary Jai Shanker Dubey will head this committee.
Improving work environment in the LDA is on the priority list of the vice chairman.
According to a senior LDA official, this committee would identify good performers and non-performers.
“Staff will be given work in accordance with their performance. All good performers will be assigned important assignments, while poor performers will be sidelined,” said a senior LDA official.
Of late, the development authority has been in the news for the wrong reasons. A clerk, Mukteshwar Nath Ojha, who was suspended in February on charges of plot –allotment scam, has tarnished the development authority’s image.
“Work culture in the development authority has to be improved. For this, performers have to be identified and handed over important posts,” said a senior LDA official.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has also laid much emphasis on improving work culture in government offices.
The LDA vice chairman’s initiative to identify performers and non-performers is being viewed as a step towards fulfilling the chief minister’s directives and improving the development body’s image among the masses.
