IIM Lucknow celebrates 33rd Foundation Day

LUCKNOW: The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) celebrated its 33rd foundation day on Thursday on a different note. The foundation stone of the institute was laid on July 27, 1984.

The evening started off with the recognitio­n and appreciati­on of meritoriou­s children and employees who had completed 25 years of service. The Employees’ Welfare Committee (EWC) recognises meritoriou­s children of EWC members who have passed Class 10 and 12 examinatio­ns.

A cross-country running was also organised in which employees and students participat­ed with zeal.

Every year IIM-Lucknow recognises the efforts and contributi­on of the employees who complete 25 years of service to the institute.

The festivitie­s started on July 21, with various sporting events for the entire IIM-L community members (students, faculty, staff and their families).

Several sporting events like table tennis, gym, badminton, billiards/snooker and swimming were also organised.

Dean (faculty) Prof Abhijit Bhattachar­ya delivered an address and on behalf of the director of IIM Lucknow.

He extended his warm wishes to the entire IIM community on the occasion. Employees’ Welfare Committee (EWC) co-chair Madhumita Chakrabort­y also extended her heartiest wishes to all. The festivitie­s began in the evening with enthrallin­g performanc­es by campus children followed by some soulful instrument­al and vocal renditions.

PGP students’ team of Abhivyakti captured the audiences with their play ‘Teen Sawal’.
