‘All in India must have one identity’

LUCKNOW: Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar has said that all those living in India need to understand their roots. “About 29 crore Muslims living in Indonesia have Ganapati on their currency, celebrate Ram Navmi and play Ramleela and their chief can say that they descended from Ram and Krishna,” said Kumar. “Why can’t Muslims here (in India) understand this,” he asked.

He was addressing a closeddoor meeting “Chikitsak MilanSamarpan Parv” at scientific convention centre with doctors from the King George Medical University (KGMU) as participants while the vice chancellor presided over the programme.

“The 18 crore Muslims and three crore Christians have to realise this and if they don’t, we shall help them,” said Kumar adding, “All those living in China are Chinese and those in Russia are Russians. Hence, all living in India have to have one identity as citizens.”

Citing examples from the past, the RSS narrated how history had been distorted in the country. He gave example from the day when the country became free. “The Congress did not sign independence document but it was division document that made Pakistan and the land that was left over was called Hindustan,” he claimed.

He further claimed Pakistan’s name will disappear from the world map in a few years. “The scene will be the one that was before 1947 once again,” said Kumar.

At present, he said those hurling bombs and stones were being given protection under human rights but the fact was that they needed ‘punishment’ and not ‘rights.’ He said health care needed to be made affordable and quality in healthcare should not be linked to cost.
