Proposal to take asst teachers on deputation okayed

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Thursday approved a proposal to fill 9342 vacant posts of assistant teachers (LT grade) through deputation.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the meeting of the cabinet that also approved a proposal to take Rs 6100 crore loan from HUDCO for broadening and strengthen­ing of roads across the state.

UP government spokespers­on and minister for medical and health Siddharth Nath Singh said the number of LT grade teachers was more than sanctioned strength in all but 20 districts. With the state cabinet’s decision, such teachers would be taken on deputation from other districts, he said. Retired teachers would be appointed and given honorarium, he said.

Singh said the state cabinet decided to adopt the Government e-Market Place (GEM) for procuremen­t of different items. He said a memorandum of understand­ing (MoU) will be signed soon with the centre.

The GEM would ensure procuremen­t of items in 20 percent to 30 percent lesser rates, said Singh.

Singh said the cabinet approved rules for the Uttar Pradesh State Ground Water Conservati­on Mission Scheme that had been formulated at the behest of chief minister for convergenc­e different schemes.

The cabinet approved proposal to buy 22 new Toyota Innova Crysta cars in lieu of old discarded vehicles. Out of 23 discarded vehicles 22 have been sold in an auction. A sum of Rs 6.5 crore has been already arranged for the purpose.

The cabinet also decided to transfer the Trauma Centre situated on Rae Bareli road from King George Medical University (KGMU) to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences.

Minister for energy Shrikant Sharma said the cabinet decided to set up an appraisal and evaluation committee for implementa­tion of power for all programme.

Sharma said it approved appointmen­t of full time vice chairman in Uttar Pradesh Braj Niyojan va Vikas Board.

Chief minister would be chairman of the board and appoint a vice chairman with an administra­tive experience in and knowledge about Mathura.
