COMMISSIONER, RAILWAY SAFETY, TO CONDUCT PROBE
ALLAHABAD: Commissioner, railway safety (CRS), north east circle, Satish Kumar Pandey will probe into the Azamgarh-New Delhi Kaifiyat train derailment.
During his two-day investigation on August 25-26, Pandey will visit the site where the bogies of the train got derailed after colliding with a dumper on Wednesday morning.
“Pandey will record the statements of passengers and residents to find out the actual reason behind the tragedy,” said chief public relations officer, North Central Railway (NCR), GK Bansal.
Bansal said the dumper had number plate of Haryana and it had come to light that it was declared unfit by Haryana RTO.
“This indicates that the dumper was moving illegally in the state. An FIR will soon be lodged against the dumper owner and the driver,” he further said.
DIVERSION OF UP TRAINS
The railway administration has diverted routes of 17 trains.
The trains include 12801 Puri-New Delhi Puroshtam Express, 12397 Gaya-New Delhi Mahabodhi Express, 12367 Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Terminus Vikramshila Express, 12281 Bhubneshwar-New Delhi Duranto Express, 12393 Rajendra Nagar Patna-New Delhi Sampoornkranti Express, YashwantpurNew Delhi Magadh Express, 12309 Rajendra Nagar Patna-New Delhi Rajdhani, 14005 Samastipur-New Delhi Lichchavi Express and 12381 HowrahNew Delhi Poorva Express.
TRAINS CANCELLED
Six trains have been cancelled following the derailment. These include Allahabad-Jaipur Express, 12404 Jaipur-Allahabad Express, 12451 Shramshakti Express, 12452 Shramshakti Express, 64209 Lko-Kanpur MEMU and Kanpur-Lko Memu.
