Noida gives nod for 338 projects
NOIDA: The Noida authority on Saturday, after a meeting, said that it has given in-principle sanctions for 338 projects worth ₹361 crore in different residential and industrial areas with an aim to address civic issues that prevail in these areas.
Noida authority’s chief executive officer Amit Mohan Prasad chaired the meeting that took place in sector 6 on Saturday. The authority additional chief executive officer Atal Kumar Rai, chief project engineer Hom Singh Yadav and other top officials were present in the meeting.
“The 338 projects include new works and also maintenance works of old projects undertaken earlier. The aim of sanctioning the projects is to ensure that the residents do not face inconvenience with potholed roads and other maintenance related issues,” Prasad said.
The 338 projects include the electrical works of district hospital and the underground parking lot of the superspecialty child hospital and post graduate institute, additional CNG furnace at Antim Niwas, roads, drainage, sewage works in villages, resurfacing of broken roads and installation of streetlights among others. “We have sanctioned these projects in work circles 6,7, 8,9 and 10. It means these projects will be executed in sector 117, 77, 76, 39, 30, 44, 63 and 105, among others. Apart from this, the authority will repair/resurface roads, wherever it is needed,” said another official of the Noida authority. The authority has also decided to repair the Shramik Kunj apartment complex located in sector 93 and 66. “We will reconstruct toilet blocks, repair plumbing lines and finish other required works in the first phase in Shramik Kunj apartment complex,” said official.
