Mount Carmel girls, Gurukul Academy boys win basketball league titles
LUCKNOW: Mount Carmel School and Gurukul Academy won the girls and boys titles of the Lucknow Basketball League-2017, notching up contrasting wins here on Thursday. Hosts Vidya Tree Modern World College in girls, and St Fidelis College in boys finished third in respective categories.
Mount Carmel School defeated LPC Rajajipuram by 38-0. Ananya scored highest 16 points as the winners were leading by 18-0 at the lemon break.
Contrary to this, Gurukul Academy boys had to struggle a lot before scripting a thrilling 31-30 win against RLB Sarvodya Nagar. Though the winners had 18-10 lead at the break, RLB boys showed their might in style in the second half. Manan (13) for the winners and Rohit Yadav (9) for the losers excelled.
In the girls hard Line match Viday Tree Modern World College defeated LPC Sahara Estates by 14-12, whereas in the men’s category St Fidelis College defeated LPC Gomti Nagar by 27-25.

Sandeep Cricket Academy scored a thrilling 17-run win against Nawab Club in a league match of the 2nd PP Dua Memorial Cricket League, at the Christian College ground here on Wednesday. In other match of

As many as six players of Uttar Pradesh have been selected for the junior men’s national coaching camp, beginning September 11, at the SAI Center here. The camp would continue till October 17. They are Prashant Kumar Chauhan, Faraz, Vishal Singh, Shivam Anand, Iktidar Ishrat and Rahul Kumar Rajbhar.

Eram Inter College defeated Babu Triloki Singh Inter College 25-22, 25-5 to win the sub-junior trophy of the 63rd District Schools Volleyball Tournament here on Wednesday.
But in the seniors boys final, Babu Triloki Singh Inter College defeated Rampal Inter College 25-23, 22-25, 25-21 in a thrilling encounter.
