CRIMINAL CARRYING REWARD OF ₹15000 HELD WITH 2 AIDES

AGRA: Firozabad police arrested a dreaded dacoit and contract killer, Rinku Yadav, along with his two accomplice­s, Chandra Mohan and Mohan Singh Yadav alias Gaurav, after an encounter in Ramgarh area here on Tuesday.

Yadav was carrying reward of ₹15,000 on his head. Three countrymad­e firearms, a dozen of live cartridges and a motorcycle, suspected to be a stolen one, were recovered from their possession. The police officials revealed that Rinku Yadav and his gang, which had seven members including him, had turned out to be a nuisance.

Four gang members were already arrested on Monday and the other three were held on Tuesday.

Police said that they would register these criminals as an organised gang.

“This gang, headed by Rinku Yadav, was indulged in contract killing and Brajesh Yadav, block pramukh of Jaswant Nagar in Etawah, was their next target. However, their timely arrest has averted the threat,” said Firozabad SSP, Ajay Kumar.

During interrogat­ion, Yadav admitted that his gang was active in various crimes mainly those of contract killings.

The arrested criminals also revealed that they had planned to loot cement trader Sanjay Agarwal in Agra. Two of the gang members were also instrument­al in freeing Bhola Jat, another dreaded criminal carrying reward of ₹50,000 on his head. Bhola Jat was freed from police custody in Tundla area on May 27.
