PRESIDENT KOVIND ON LUCKNOW VISIT TODAY
LUCKNOW: The state capital is geared up to greet Ramnath Kovind on his maiden visit to UP from Thursday after being sworn in as President. The district administration on Wednesday chalked out the detailed plan for his visit and made all possible arrangements at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, where the President will be attending a felicitation programme. President is scheduled to reach Amausi airport at 3:45pm on Thursday, from where he will move to Bharat Ratna Bodhisatva Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahasabha.
LUCKNOW: The state capital is geared up to greet Ramnath Kovind on his maiden visit to UP from Thursday after being sworn in as President.
The district administration on Wednesday chalked out the detailed plan for his visit and made all possible arrangements at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, where the President will be attending a felicitation programme. President Ramnath Kovind is scheduled to reach Amausi airport at 3:45pm on Thursday, from where he will move to Bharat Ratna Bodhisatva Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahasabha.
Around 4:20pm, he will reach Indira Gandhi Pratishthan to take part in the grand felicitation programme, where some 1,500 guests including chief minister Yogi Adityanath, MLAs and MLCs would be present. Apart from them, various organisations, groups and renowned people from all walks of life will greet the President at the venue.
After the felicitation programme that would last for almost an hour, the President would then leave for Raj Bhawan for a night stay.
On Friday, Kovind would leave for Deen Dayal Upadhayay Smriti Vatika around 10:30am and then leave for Kanpur around 2:15pm to take part in the cleanliness drive at Ishwariganj village of Kanpur (to give a push to the Modi government’s clean India mission).
In the village, he would launch a programme — ‘swacchata hi seva’ and then would leave for Lucknow airport at 6pm, from where he would leave for Delhi at 6:10pm.
