THE CASE

The girl from Mau alleged that a local muscleman and his goons kidnapped her on September 4. She said she was gang raped by the muscleman and his goons after being held hostage for around three days. She said the accused released her and threatened her with dire consequences. She claimed that she had approached the police personnel at Dohrighat police station in Mau multiple times but they were not registering her FIR. The local police in fact were mounting pressure on her to keep her mouth shut.
