Be ready for challenges, IILM students told
LUCKNOW : The momentous day which every management student waits for finally arrived for the graduating batch of PGDM and MBA 2015-17 of IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow on Saturday.
After two years of strenuous schedules and academic rigor, the batch of PGDM 2015-17 and MBA 2015-comprising 110 students received graduating certificates and medals at the 12th annual convocation in the presence of chief guest Professor Devashish Dasgupta, professor, IIM Lucknow and guest of honour Niraj Kumar, cluster head, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
In the ceremony, as a mark of overall excellence in academic activities, Mahvish Hussain was awarded Kulwant Rai Gold Medal, Richa Pal was awarded Chairperson’s Silver Medal and Preeti Sinha was awarded Director’s Bronze Medal.
From MBA batch 2015-17, Ayushi Jaiswal was awarded Kulwant Rai Gold Medal, Priyanka Sharma was awarded Chairperson’s Silver Medal & Usas Singh was awarded Director’s Bronze Medal.
Prof Devashish Dasgupta awarded the AICTE approved post-graduate diploma in management to PGDM students and certificate of completion to MBA students.
Addressing the students, he said it was a great life- changing day for all the graduating students. “If you fail to reach a dream company and you feel regret about it, the pain will be over within 2 to 5 years. The corporate world is full of challenges and the institute and teachers made you worthy of entering the corporate world.”
Guest of honour Niraj Kumar, cluster head ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, said the students would remembered the day as a mile stone in their life and now they were all ready to join the corporate world with enthusiasm.
Naela Rushdi, director, IILM, described in detail the value additions which IILM was continuously doing for its students in the two years of professional education, which has resulted in achievement of 100% placements of IILM students in good corporate houses like Marico, ICICI Pru.Mutual Fund, IndusInd Bank, SBI Life, Yes Bank, JeevanSaathi.com, Naukri.Com, etc.
