Country moving forward to detractors’ surprise: Yogi
In an apparent attack on the Congress, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday claimed that those who believed that the country could not run without them could see that it was moving on and the changed scenario clearly showed where they (Congress leadership) were now.
The CM was addressing public meeting at Nagla Chandrabhan village in Farah area of Mathura on Tuesday to commemorate the birth centenary of RSS icon Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay. The gathering was organised at Deen Dayal Dham - the birthplace of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh leader.
In his 29-minute address, Yogi praised Pt Upadhyay, saying his ideology was being followed by the UP and central governments.
The chief minister assured development of Braj region and announced a girls’ degree college in the name of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay in Farah town.
“I am fortunate to be at Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s birthplace on completion of six months of my government in UP. The ‘Antyodaya’ concept given by Pt Upadhyay talked about the last man in the series of development, the poor, the dalit and his ideology remains the guiding force for the government at the centre and in UP,” said Yogi.
‘Azadi ke baad jin logon ko dambh tha ki desh unke bina nahin chal sakta, lekin yeh desh to chal raha aur ve log kahan chale gaye, yeh desh mein badalti hui tasveer spasht kar rahi hai’ (After Independence there were people who believed that the nation could not run without them, but the nation is moving and the changed picture emerging in the nation is telling where these people have gone,” stated Yogi while hitting out at the Congress without taking names.
The chief minister mentioned about Jan Dhan Yojna, free LPG connections to three crore families, loan waiver to 86 lakh farmers in the state and said this was what Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay talked about.
