Rohingyas traitors, says RSS leader
LUCKNOW: Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar on Tuesday described Rohingya Muslims as ‘traitors’ and ‘anarchic’. He also said those who sympathised with them had no faith in their constitution and were murderers of secularism and unpatriotic.
Talking to journalists at the foundation day celebrations of Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University in Lucknow, Kumar said, “Since Rohingya Muslims are traitors, many Muslim countries are not keen to give them shelter on their land.”
He said, “They are denied citizenship in Myanmar and classified as illegal immigrants, despite claiming roots that go back centuries.”
While making a case for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Kumar said followers of Islam believed that mosques can be constructed either on land given in charity or purchased. He said but Babur neither got it in charity, nor did he buy it.
“Also in Islam, a mosque can’t be named after an individual. But he named it as Babri Masjid. Also, Muslims of Ayodhya never went to pray at the Babri Masjid as they knew that their prayers would never be accepted and would rather be a sin,” said Kumar, making a strong point that Ram Mandir could only be constructed there.
Backing the demand to rewrite history books, he said most Muslim rulers invaded India and plundered its wealth.
Mughal emperors Babur and Aurangzeb never respected Indian values, he said.
“Tell me how many Muslim invaders constructed educational institutions or hospitals for treatment of ailing people? Muslim invaders wanted to keep Indians illiterate so that they could serve as their slaves,” Kumar said. He said Muslim invaders harassed people and committed atrocities. “No country in the world teaches its students about the atrocities they faced at the hands of foreign invaders. We cannot teach our students to learn that Akbar was great,” he said.
