BANGALORE: Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have emerged as India’s new deadly spin bowling duo in the ongoing series against Australia. The wrist spinner and Chinaman have together taken 13 wickets in the series, helping Virat Kohli’s side continue its winning run.

Chahal said that he and Kuldeep have plans for each player in the Australian team. “I know Kuldeep Yadav for a very long time. If I bowl first, then I tell him that the wicket is providing this kind of assistance. If he bowls first, then he tells me this is the right area to bowl to a certain batsmen,” said Chahal.

The 27-year-old has had some memorable moments at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In the Twenty20 International against England in February, he picked 6/25 -- the third-best haul by a bowler in the format.

“The wicket at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium has changed in the last couple of years. The wicket now is offering more turn to the spinners. It is a bit slow and there is grip, which was not there earlier,” Chahal said.

Chahal said that Australia’s inability to adapt to the conditions and India’s ability to take wickets at regular intervals was hurting Steve Smith’s side.

“We have used the conditions much better than Australia. Adam Zampa is not performing consistently. In this series, we are taking wickets at the start, in the middle and even in the death overs,” Chahal said.

India have secured a hat-trick of wins over Australia. They have secured a hat-trick of series wins too. There has been one more hat-trick and that is Chahal taking out Glenn Maxwell in all three games. “My plan to Maxwell is not to bowl at the stumps. I tend to bowl outside the off-stump and I vary my pace. I know if I can bowl 2-3 dot balls, he will play an aggressive shot.”
