Rafa Nadal hails Moya’s impact

MADRID: World number one Rafa Nadal says the addition of compatriot Carlos Moya to his coaching team has added freshness and positive energy to his training routine. “Carlos has been a great support. He came with excitement and also the belief that with a few things, I could improve my results. And it has helped, It has been a breath of fresh air. We have changed the way we practice and for Toni it has been also good,” Nadal said.

AGASSI TO CONTINUE

JOHANNESBU­RG: Serbian tennis maestro Novak Djokovic will keep Andre Agassi as his coach when he makes a return to the game after recovering from an elbow injury. Djokovic roped in Agassi into his team only in May, prior to the French Open.

INDIA TO TAKE ON PAK

GUWAHATI: India will take on Pakistan during the South Asian boxing Championsh­ip, which will also see other SAARC countries participat­ing including Afghanista­n, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. India will be hosting the tournament for the first time in Guwahati from December 6 to 10.

ASHGABAT: Indians grabbed four medals, including a gold through tennis player Sumit Nagal, on the concluding day to end at 11th place in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

Nagal bagged the men’s singles gold medal in the tennis event as he outplayed compatriot Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-1 6 -1 in the all-Indian final.
