Boeing 737, A320 airbus service in Sangam city from October 2018
MINISTER NAND GOPAL GUPTA NANDI ALSO SAID THAT WORK ON CIVIL ENCLAVE SHOULD BE COMPLETED BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF ARDH KUMBH
ALLAHABAD: Allahabad will have flight services of passenger planes like Boeing 737 and A320 airbus from October 2018.
The assurance for completion of work of Civil Enclave in Bamrauli area was given by officials of Airport Authority of India (AAI) in a meeting chaired by UP Civil Aviation minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi recently.
As per reports, in the meeting, officials of Airport Authority of India, including regional director Rakesh Kalra, special secretary, Civil Aviation Surya Pal Gangawar and divisional commissioner, Allahabad Ashish Goel discussed the hurdles in completion of work of Civil Enclave and chalked out measures to address the issues.
Chairing the meeting minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi said construction of Civil Enclave would be carried out as per international standards, which would enable expansion of the same as per need in future.
The minister said work on civil enclave should be completed before commencement of Ardh Kumbh and the Boeing service should commence from October 2018.
Nandi also suggested for diversion of traffic arriving in Allahabad from neighbouring Kaushambi district through another route.
He directed the divisional commissioner to ensure a separate route for movement of traffic between Allahabad and Kaushambi, which should be made functional before October 2018.
Meanwhile, the divisional commissioner also directed officials of Power Corporation for completion of work on allocating 15000 kilowatt dedicated feeder to the Airport Authority of India .
