Bullying in school: Team records victim’s statement

LUCKNOW : A special team constituted by DM Kaushal Raj Sharma to probe the allegations of Class 8 student of La Martiniere College finally recorded the victim’s statement and is now set to probe the bullying on school premises and the measures the school has in place to check it .

The special team comprises DIoS, ACM I and others.

District administration sources said in the statement the victim and his parents blamed the school for not taking any action against bullying on the school campus .

“The Class 8 boy and his parents made serious allegations against the school authorities ,” said sources.

Sources said in the same context, the team also got a letter from the school, rubbishing all allegations of the student.

The team is now planning to visit the school to talk to the victim’s classmates and to corroborate the facts. Sources said that the team would also check the arrangements to check bullying.

The student’s father SP Singh had reported the matter to the Gautampalli police and alleged that the college management threatened to rusticate the boy when he complained to the principal.

The college management had refuted the allegations and said the family came on Thursday and withdrew the child from the college.
