MARGAO: Germany and Costa Rica committed a lot of mistakes during their Group C encounter of the Fifa U-17 World Cup at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium but their coaches are not putting knife to their throat.

“These are just young guys. Still developing their game and so they are bound to commit mistakes,” said Costa Rica coach Breansse Camacho, who saw his team concede both the goals through a mistake committed by his defenders.

The winner was the nail in the coffin as centre-back Fernan Faerron failed to clear his line.

Our players know they are playing in the World Cup and they will surely get over it soon and focus on next game. BREANSSE CAMACHO, Costa Rica coach

EYE ON NEXT MATCH

Camacho though was already focussing on helping him out of the nightmarish outing and focus on the next game and Guinea on October 10.

“Our players know they are playing in the World Cup and they will surely get over it soon and focus on next game.”

German coach Christian Wuck wasn’t straight away planning the next game against Iran giving his players time to relax.

“It’s very important to get a good night’s sleep, rest, drink – not beer but water,” said Wuck when he was quizzed about their next match against the Asian powerhouse, who are accustomed to the Goan hot and severely humid weather and stadium thanks to their outing at the AFC U-16 Championship last year.

While there were few points to ponder over and he did rue the missed chance, he also spoke of the positives that he can carry from the match into the upcoming matches.
