LUCKNOW: Principal advisor to the LMRC, E Sreedharan on Tuesday reviewed the progress of work on Lucknow Metro’s 23-km-long North–South corridor (Phase 1A) from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to Munshipulia.

Kumar Keshav, managing director, LMRC and other officials accompanied him throughout his visit and briefed him about the progress of the Metro project.

The ‘Metroman’ first visited the Transport Nagar Metro station where Keshav briefed him about the operational and passenger facilities provided by the LMRC at Metro stations and inside trains. He visited the concourse and platform of the station to see the state-of-the-art facilities provided for passengers.

He then took a ride in the Metro train from Transport Nagar Metro station to Charbagh Metro station. Instead of sitting in the coach, he sat in the train pilot’s cabin and kept a close watch on all the operations. Sreedharan suggested a few alterations to prevent snags. He was happy to see the cleanliness at the station and inside the Metro train.

Later, Sreedharan visited the LMRC’s administrative office at Gomti Nagar, where he reviewed the progress of the underground Metro work for the HussainganjBapu Bhavan-Hazratganj section and the elevated section beyond KD Singh ‘Babu’ station up to Munshipulia.
