₹6 lakh stolen from rural bank in Chhattisgarh
RAIGARH: Unidentified burglars stole about ₹6 lakh from a branch of the Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank in Raigarh district, police said on Wednesday. The burglars entered the bank late on Tuesday night from the rear by breaking door locks and decamped with ₹5,95,161 in cash kept in a locker, Dharamjaigarh Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Neha Verma said. The burglars used a gas cutter to open the locker. The crime was detected when the bank opened at 10am, she said.
