HP leads shipments amid sluggish global mkt: report

NEW DELHI: The worldwide PC shipments saw a decline for the 12th straight quarter, as per the latest numbers by research firm Gartner. The shipments fell 3.6% globally in the third quarter of 2017, when compared with shipment numbers for the same quarter in 2016—69.51 million units to 67 million units. In the third quarter of 2017, HP leads the way with 14.59 million units shipped, with Lenovo in the second place with 14.35 million units. These numbers indicate that HP has seen a 4.4% growth in this quarter, over the 13.98 million units shipped in Q3 2016, while Lenovo saw a decline of 1.5% when compared with 14.57 million units they shipped in Q3 2016.
