MAYOR OF LUCKNOW TO BE A WOMAN

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow mayor’s post has been reserved for women in the coming urban local bodies’ election. The urban development department on Thursday notified reservation for mayor’s posts in 16 municipal corporations. The post in Varanasi has been reserved for backward class women; in Kanpur for women; Meerut for scheduled caste women; Gorakhpur for backward class people and Allahabad and Agra are unreserved.
