LDA issues notice to pvt developer
LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority has issued a notice to private real estate developer, Parsvnath Developers Limited, after it failed to complete its project, Parsvnath Planet, in Gomti Nagar on time and hand over flats to allottees.
In its notice served last week, the development authority has sought reasons for the delay in completion of the project from the developer and has asked to file the reply by October 27.
According to LDA officials, the condominium project, Parsvnath Planet at Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, was started in 2006 but still majority of the project was incomplete.
Akashdeep, one of the complainants who had booked a penthouse in 2006, said: “A major part of the project is incomplete. After we lodged a complaint with the LDA vice-chairman, a notice was issued to Parsvnath Developers.” The LDA also issued a partial completion certificate to the developer in 2015 but it could be cancelled if the developer fails to give a satisfactory reply the development authority. Jai Shanker Dubey, LDA secretary, said that action would be taken against the developer as per the law. Mahendra Shahi, president, Resident Welfare Association, said: “The developer has proposed 10 towers in the project. He managed to procure partial completion certificate for seven out of 10 towers. In reality, majority of the project is incomplete.”
Parsvnath Developers managed to procure the partial completion certificate in 2015, before the enforcement of the RERA, so it was out of the ambit of the new regulation. However, LDA said that if the partial completion certificate of the developer was cancelled then it would come under the ambit of RERA.
