CM: BJP does not believe in politics of family, caste
MEERUT: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) did not believe in the politics of family, caste and corruption and was committed to the welfare of farmers and youths.
Addressing a rally in Najibabad area of Bijnor district after inaugurating a distillery of Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill, Yogi said the days of good governance had arrived in the state.
“The BJP does not believe in the politics of family, caste and corruption. We keep farmers and youth at the centre of our political agenda,” he said. He also presented certificates to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. “Development is the need of the hour as it has the potential to check migration in the region,” he said.
He said the law and order situation had improved in the state and the morale of the police was high. Highlighting the initiatives taken up by his government for the welfare of farmers, Yogi said, “We waived off crop loan of over Rs 36,000 crore. Efforts are on for the purchase of paddy crop in forthcoming season.”
He claimed that storage space for keeping 50 lakh metric tonnes paddy had been created in godowns and the government would ensure that farmers received adequate price of their produce. Addressing sugarcane farmers, he said the BJP government cleared the dues of over Rs 25,000 crore in the last seven months which was a record.
He said adequate employment opportunities would be created and added that over 1.5 lakh policemen and 1.76 lakh teachers would be appointed in the state.
“The new distillery in the sugar mill will help in providing jobs to local youths ,” Yogi said.
