Swiss couple attack: 3 sent to juvenile home, 2 in JC
AGRA: Three minor accused, nabbed for allegedly attacking a Swiss couple in Fatehpur Sikri, were sent to the juvenile home after being presented before a magistrate while the two other accused were sent to 14 days’ judicial custody by the court of judicial magistrate on Friday. Ajay Anand, ADG (Agra zone) informed that a team of Agra police had been sent to Delhi to interact with the Swiss couple undergoing treatment for their injuries. He said investigations were on and security of tourists in Fatehpur Sikri had been beefed up after the incident.

Swiss tourists Quentin Jeremy Clerc, 24, suffered fractures in his skull and nerve damage while his friend Marie Droz, 24, also suffered fracture in the attack that took place on Sunday.
“The Swiss couple was walking along the railway track near Fatehpur Sikri station but landed in a dispute initiated by boys from nearby villages of Tehra Jaat in Fatehpur Sikri. The couple objected to the aggression of boys but were pelted with stones by the accused, which left the duo injured,” stated the ADG.
The couple was given primary medical aid and then taken to a private hospital, but they wanted to have treatment in Delhi.
The Agra had an FIR lodged at Fatehpur Sikri police station on Sunday, stated the ADG.
“It took two to three days in identifying the accused and all five were arrested on Thursday. Out of these, three are minors and two majors. They are being subjected to legal compliances after arrest,” added Ajay Anand.
Amongst the accused, Rahul and his minor brother are from Dautana village while another minor is from a bordering village of Rajasthan and was here at the house of his relatives in Fatehpur Sikri.
Pankaj, one of the two major accused, is from Mandi Mirza Khan village while the third minor is from Jahanpur village of Fatehpur Sikri.
