NEYMAR TO MISS NICE GAME AFTER PICKING UP RED VS MARSEILLE
PARIS: Neymar was handed a onematch ban after being sent off in PSG’s explosive 2-2 draw at Marseille at the weekend. The Brazilian forward will miss visit from Nice. PARIS: H S Prannoy dumped Denmark’s Hans-Kristian Vittinghus in straight games to progress to the men’s singles quarterfinals of the French Open Super Series .
Prannoy, who regained his career-best ranking of World No 12 that he had achieved in June two years ago, took just 31 minutes to see off Vittinghus 21-11 21-12 to set up a clash with 2016 Australian Open finalist Jeon Hyeok-jin of Korea.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Shiva Thapa and Manoj Kumar advanced to the quarterfinals but an injured Devendro Singh bowed out of the senior men’s National Boxing Championships. Defending champion Shiva, a three-time Asian medallist and a World Championships bronze-medallist, defeated Chattisgarh’s Suraj Singh to make the last eight stage of the lightweight (60kg) category. Manoj on the other hand, beat Mizoram’s Anthony Lalduhawma in the welterweight (69kg) division.
