Ex-MP Atiq’s nephew goes missing, abduction alleged

ALLAHABAD: Former MP Atiq Ahmad’s nephew went missing under mysterious circumstan­ces last week. A missing complaint was registered with the police on Tuesday on the applicatio­n of his father who raised suspicion that his son may have been abducted.

Shadab Sadiq left home on the night of October 27 but failed to return home, his father Sadiq Ali Qureshi said in his complaint to the Kareli police.

A resident of Karamat Ki Chowki area in Allahabad, he is a retired employee of the Madhya Pradesh irrigation department.

A massive search was launched for Shadab but to no avail.

The family approached Kareli police when some people informed them that Shadab was spotted with an unidentifi­ed man on the night he went missing.

Qureshi alleged that unidentifi­ed people abducted his son.Shadab worked with a private company after completing his MBA but quit his job recently.He was living with his family in Allahabad.

Kareli station house officer Vijay Kumar Singh said a missing complaint was registered and Shadab’s photograph circulated to all police stations of the district.
