Prabhnoor hits ton for UPTC

LUCKNOW: Prabhnoor Singh Gujaral hammered an unbeaten century to help UP Timber Club (UPTC) notch up a convincing six-wicket win against Aryavart Cricket Academy (ACA) in a league match of the Paarth Cup under-19 cricket tournament here on Monday. Gujaral struck 104 in 129 balls with the help of 11 hits to the fence as UPTC romped home in 40 overs, while chasing 223 to win in 50 overs. Atif Sajid too remained unbeaten on 79, which came off 78 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes.

Amresh Kumar (4/8) and Nikhil Nath (3/18) bowled superbly to fashion Arya Cricket Academy’s 66-run win against Kalpana Foundation in a league match of the Bhagwan Baksh Memorial Twenty20 cricket tournament, at the Pt Raas Bihari Tewari stadium.

EMPHATIC WIN

ASCA Gymkhana Red defeated Gymkhana Blue by eight wickets in a league match of the 1st Ajeet Singh Memorial under-15 cricket tournament, at the Avadh School ground. After skittling out Blue for 498 in 19 overs with Alok Singh bagging 5/17, Gymkhana Red romped home in 9.2 overs.
