Govt to fill 4 lakh vacancies in two years: Adityanath
GORAKHPUR: Highlighting the achievements of his government in the last eight months, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said the state would see unprecedented development if the BJP won the local bodies election.
Addressing a rally in support of BJP candidates in Kushinagar, Yogi said the state government would provide jobs to 4 lakh youths in UP in the next two years.
“By December, the process to recruit 50,000 youths in the provincial armed constabulary (PAC) will also begin,” he said, adding that jobs would be given on the basis of merit and no discrimination would be made on the basis of caste and religion.
“SP government constructed 29,000 houses, and that too, incomplete. In the last eight months, 11 lakh poor people got houses. By 2022, no one will remain homeless. We have also started sugar mills. A mill in Pipraich has already been inaugurated,” the CM said.
“If the BJP wins local bodies’ election, the state will tread on the path of development,” he said.
“Lord Buddha had given the message of non-violence from the land of Kushinagar. The first thing BJP did after coming to power was to impose a blanket ban on illegal slaughterhouses (to check violence against animals).
Yogi said that government had formulated a policy for roadside vendors.
“Encroachments will be removed without affecting the interests of roadside vendors,” he said.
A group of anganwadi workers who had gathered at the rally venue to raise their demands were warned by the CM not to resort to agitation and focus on their work.
Later, addressing another public meeting in Maharajganj, Yogi appealed to people to support BJP candidates. Hitting out at previous governments for failing to maintain law and order, he said earlier there was an atmosphere of fear among traders who migrated to other states for business.
“Investment had declined but now the traders are feeling safe. Migration has stopped and outshore investment has increased in UP as law and order has improved significantly,” he said.
