THE FILM IS ABOUT A HINDUMUSLIM LOVE STORY IN THE BACKDROP OF BABRI MOSQUE DEMOLITION.

ALIGARH: After ‘Padmavati’, another movie – ‘Game of Ayodhya’ –is under fire before its release. ABVP organisational secretary Amit Goswami has offered ₹1 lakh bounty for anyone who chops off arms of movie director Sunil Singh, an ex-MLC and and Lok Dal leader.

The film is about a Hindu-Muslim love story in the backdrop of Babri mosque demolition.

The activist claimed that the movie wrongly depicts that Lord Ram’s statue was installed in a ‘deceitful’ manner in the temple in Ayodhya. “Sunil Singh made this film to gather publicity and this will not be tolerated,” he alleged. He warned that if the film was released on December 8, the district administration and the government would be responsible for any untoward incident.

On the other hand, Sunil Singh said the protests had no meaning without people watching the movie. “The protesters are aiming to brighten their political careers,” he said, adding that he will visit Aligarh on December 4 or 5 and show the movie first to the professors of AMU.

The HYV submitted a memorandum addressed to the home minister to the district magistrate as part of its protest against the movie. The Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) also launched a protest against the movie ‘Game of Ayodhya’ by burning Sunil Singh’s effigy at Ramlila ground here. The activists said the film was against the culture of India.
