Teacher found hanging in flat, 5yrold son spots body after 2 days

-

LUCKNOW: A 32-year-old private school teacher was found hanging in her rented flat in Gudamba area when her five-year-old son along with his father went to meet her on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

The victim, Anshu Datta, stayed alone in a separate flat in Kalyanpur, Gudamba due to strained relations with her husband, Vineet Tewari for the past three years.

The couple’s son, Anshman Tewari, however, lived with his father in Vikas Nagar and the woman often visited her son.

For the past two days, she did not receive phone calls when her son tried to contact her.

Tewari told the cops that the flat’s door was open when he took Anshman there, as he was desperate to meet his mother.

He said he visited the flat around 12 midnight. His son went inside the flat alone, while he remained outside.

Tewari said he entered the flat when his son came out crying badly and found Anshu’s body hanging from the ceiling fan of the bedroom. He then called the police, he said.

Sub-inspector of Gudamba police station, Sujeet Upadhyaya said the body’s condition suggested that the woman had died around two days ago.

He said the preliminary probe hinted that the woman had committed suicide. But the police had not found any suicide note in her flat.

He added that the body had been sent for post-mortem examination and further probe was on in the matter.

PROBE HINTED THAT THE WOMAN HAD COMMITTED SUICIDE HOWEVER POLICE HAD NOT FOUND ANY SUICIDE NOTE IN HER FLAT
