LMRC MD TELLS OFFICIALS TO KEEP AN EYE ON QUALITY
LUCKNOW: Managing director, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation, Kumar Keshav reviewed the ongoing construction work under the North South Corridor from the Charbagh Ramp Section to Hazaratganj on Saturday.
During his visit he was accompanied by LMRC officials, General Consultants and M/s Tata Gulermak team.
Starting the inspection from Charbagh ramp section, he saw the installation work for the tunnel boring machine (TBM), along with taking stock of the ongoing construction work on Haider Canal.
The TBMs are working day and night to dig up a tunnel in the corridor for past three months. Earlier, the tunnel boring machines had completed the 812 metres tunnel work from Bapu Bhawan to Mayfair.
Keshav also inspected the Hussainganj underground metro station, in which the work of roof slab of 260/300 metres, concourse slab 220/300 metres has been completed.
The same Secretariat Metro Station has completed 120/277 metres of the concourse area and 60 metres of platform area.
The managing director asked the officials to keep a special eye on the quality of work and complete the work in a time bound manner as the project has to start on time before March 2019.
The managing director took a briefing from the executive body of the Metro about the ongoing work of TBMs. With the removal of the TBM machine (up-line) from Hussainganj, it is being used in the ramp section of Charbagh.
Lastly, Keshav also reviewed the construction work at Hazaratganj Metro Station where 75/143 diaphragm wall with 40 metres of roof slab has been constructed.
The Hazratganj station is important because from here the tunnel will start rising towards KD Singh Babu stadium where the train will come overhead on pillars again.
