The programme was, in fact, a rehearsal of the organisation’s forthcoming samagam (convention) ‘Rashtrodaya’ of Meerut region scheduled in February next year.
About 3 lakh Swayamsewaks from Meerut region are expected to attend the samagam. RSS Sanghchalak Mohan Bhagat and other top leaders will address the gathering.
In his address to the workers on Sunday, RSS Sah Sarkaryawah Suresh Bhaiyaaji Joshi called upon them to contribute for a positive change in society. He said, “We as an organisation don’t believe in caste and creed and for us all are Indians.”
He said the RSS’ objective was to form an ‘evil-free society’ so that everyone could live with pride and honour and with a feeling of nationality in their hearts.
The aim of the forthcoming samagam was also to contribute towards bringing about a change in society by infusing the feeling of ‘ nationality’ in people, he said. Prant Sanghchalak Surya Prakash Tonk, Khekra pracharak pramukh Ajay Mittal etc attended the programme.
