PATNA: Chief minister Nitish Kumar is all set to embark on a four-day yatra, starting December 12, to review progress of schemes under Bihar government’s Seven Resolves in eight districts.

The programme, rechristened ‘Vikas karyon ki sameeksha yatra’, will begin from West Champaran district, the region from where Mahatma Gandhi had launched satyagraha about 150 years ago. Kumar will address a public meeting at Patilar village of Bagaha block on December 12 forenoon and visit Kataiya village in the afternoon for a ground assessment of the implementation of schemes taken up under the Seven Resolves (Saat Nishchay).

On the following day, Kumar will visit Parsuram village in Motihari district and address a public meeting at Baluakothi village in the afternoon. Later, he will hold a meeting of officials in the district headquarters to review progress of schemes being implemented in Motihari and West Champaran districts.

Later, the CM will visit Bakhari village of Sitamarhi and Surgahi village of Sheohar and address public meetings on December 14. On the next day, Kumar is slated to visit Jarang village of Muzaffapur and Dhakajari village of Madhubani, before holding a meeting of officials at Darbhanga to assess progress in execution of various schemes of social welfare in Madhubani, Darbhanga and Samastipur.

On the last leg of his journey (December 16), Kumar will visit Kamalpur village of Darbhanga and Jhkara village and address public meetings before returning to the state capital.

The yatra was slated to begin on December 7, but had to be deferred as the CM was unwell. About a year ago, Kumar had kicked off his first leg of ‘Nishchay Yatra’ from West Champaran.

ON THE FOLLOWING DAY, KUMAR WILL VISIT PARSURAM VILLAGE IN MOTIHARI DISTRICT AND ADDRESS A PUBLIC MEETING AT BALUAKOTHI VILLAGE IN THE AFTERNOON
