UPP in Mirza football final

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Police stormed into the final of the Captain Qaiser Mirza Memorial football tournament, defeating Sunrise Club by 8-7 in tiebreaker, at the Chowk stadium here on Wednesday. The two teams were locked in a goalless draw at the end of the regulation time. Now, UPP take on Army Medical Corps in the final on Thursday at 2.30 p.m.

EASY WINS

Hosts ASCA Academy and Sitapur Cricket Academy scored easy wins and collected full points in the 2nd Hare Krishna Chaudhary Memorial state under-16 cricket tournament, at the Avadh School ground here. ASCA defeated ASCA Hostel by 44 runs, whereas SCA trounced Faizabad Cricket Academy by nine wickets.
