BELIEVE IN GOD’S POWER TO HEAL AND HELP YOU GET RID OF STRESS
There is a big misconception that stress is unavoidable. To an extent, stress is essential as it motivates and accelerates progress. But how much stress is optimum and harmless? Medically, any stress is capable of causing havoc with our psychophysical system. Is it possible to be totally free of it? Indian spirituality offers an affirmative answer. According to the Bhagvad Gita, “You are only entitled to make endeavours. You can’t demand or crave for outcomes.”
While our stress concerns craving for a desired output, non-acceptance of the karmic proceeds and inevitable tragedies of life is not advisable. To this, the holy book propagates, “The origin of creatures is shrouded in mystery. So, in the far end, only parts of life are known. Then, why should we be aggrieved for an unknown future?” More so, while requisite action matters, stress is of no avail. Our performance is obstructed by anxiety and the fear of failure.
The best course, therefore, is to do our best and surrender the outcome to the Almighty. Pray for the best performance and get inspired by Him. Obsession with selfish desires invariably causes stress. Unconditional love without expectation, uproots all stress and opens the gateway to peace. Stress also vanishes when we render service expecting nothing in return. We have the choice to stay free of stress without succumbing to cynicism and negativity.
