LUCKNOW: Favourites Army Medical Corps (AMC) lifted the Captain Qaiser Mirza Memorial Football Trophy, registerin­g a hard-earned 8-7 win against UP Police through tie-breaker, at the Chowk stadium here on Thursday. The two teams were locked in a goalless draw at the end of the regulation time.

SADBHAVANA TROPHY

Hosts National Cricket Club defeated KVS Sitapur by 29 runs in the first match of the sixmatch series for Sadbhavana Trophy cricket tournament, at the Christian College ground here. But in the second match, they lost to the same outfits by 13 runs. In the first match, batting first after winning the toss, NCC scored 131 in 20 overs. Amit Yadav scored highest 29. For rivals, Shrestha took two for 13. In reply, KVS Sitapur got out for 102 in 19.1 overs. Naren made 30. For NCC, Avinash Yadav took three for 15, whereas Vijay Chauhan and Mayank shared four wickets between them.
