Lucknow’s National Cricket Club scored a convincing sixwicket win against KVS in the fourth match of the six-match Sadhbhavna Trophy cricket tournament in Sitapur.

THRILLING WIN

HQ Vrindavan Circle scored a thrilling 10-run win against Global Cell in the opening league match of the Inter-Circle cricket tournament of Avas Vikas, at the Northern Railway stadium here.

CHAMPIONS TROPHY

ASCA Green and AS Gymkhana scored convincing wins in the ASCA Under-14 Champions Cricket Trophy, at the Avadh School ground. Green defeated ASCA Hostel by 64 runs, whereas AS Gymkhana beat ASCA Blue by 46 runs.

EASY WIN

Super Sports Society scored an easy 3-0 win against Police Modern in a league match of the under-14 district boys football tournament, at the Chowk stadium. Shivang struck a brace, whereas Anuj scored one goal. In other match of the day, LDA Aliganj too scored a 3-0 win against Lucknow Public School. Sahil struck in the 15th and 30th minute, whereas Ananye Mishra scored in the 50th minute. In the under-12 match, Chowk Stadium had a 2-0 win against SKD Academy. Ali Haider scored both the goals.

HOCKEY TRIALS

Two-day trials to select Uttar Pradesh’s men and women hockey teams will begin on December 30, at the Padmashree Mohd Shahid Stadium here from 8.00 am.

This will be followed by selection trials of state sub-junior men’s team on January 1 and 2, at the Saifai Hockey stadium.
