“Tomorrow (Friday) is a big day for us. For past 25 years post demolition of the Babri mosque, governments came and went but our mission remained unfulfilled. We are sure that a date for commencement for the temple will be unanimously agreed upon by all saints. Praveen Bhai Togadia will not attend the meet but he will always continue to lead us,” said Ashwani Mishra, a VHP officer bearer in Allahabad.
“Saints had earlier during Dharam Sansad held in October 2017 in Udipi had unanimously announced that no more awareness programmes or Dharam Sansad will be held in future on temple issue,” he added.
As per VHP’s Sangathan Mantri of Kashi pranth Mukeshji, a unanimous decision on temple construction will be arrived at in presence of around 1000 saints at the Friday’s event.
As per him, apart from mahants and saints from all over the country, including Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Mahant Narendra Giri, president of All India Akhara Parishad, Ramratan Dasji (Phalhari baba) and Mauni Baba will attend the meeting. Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, cabinet minister Sidharth Nath Singh as well as several BJP MPs, including Shyama Charan Gupta from Allahabad, will also be present there.
